U.R.C. Services
The Urology Resource Centre was founded by Dr. Bill Love and Mrs. Jane Love in 1998. Since its inception, the centre has employed a nurse specialist in urology and has provided free services to thousands of men and women seeking general urology advice or counselling for specific problems.  Kate Hetherington, RN, provides counselling for a variety of urologic conditions. For most conditions, referrals are not necessary; you may contact Kate directly to request an appointment. We would like to thank previous URC nurses Lynda Putnam and Laura Robbs for their years of dedicated community service at the URC.​​
  • Preoperative and postoperative counselling
  • Anti-incontinence training including kegel exercises and biofeedback
  • Erectile dysfunction treatments including low-intensity shockwave therapy, vacuum pump therapy, and intracavernosal injection* (*requires physician referral)
  • Prostate cancer and hormone therapy counselling; managing side effects
  • Peyronie's disease treatment
