Covid Updates and Code of Conduct

SERVICES UPDATE:
We are now once again permitted to perform non-urgent surgeries/procedures. Unfortunately, we have an extensive backlog of patients who have been waiting for procedures, and Joseph Brant Hospital is still not functioning at 100% capacity, with several operating rooms remaining closed until further notice from the Ministry of Health. We appreciate your ongoing patience. 

MASKS:
Public Health Ontario continues to recommend masking in healthcare environments. We encourage you to wear at mask in our office. Masks remain mandatory at Joseph Brant Hospital. 

CODE OF CONDUCT:
Burlington Urology maintains a positive work environment that
helps us care for patients and their families. To provide this
support our Physicians, Nurses and Medical Office Assistants have
a right to work in an environment free from harassment,
intimidation and violence. We have a zero tolerance policy for any behaviour that creates an
intimidating, hostile or negative work environment. We will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour, including*: 
​
- comments that are insulting, intimidating, hurtful, disrespectful or rude
- verbal abuse including swearing, insults, condescending
remarks
- workplace violence, or threats of violence
- harassment and conduct that is known or ought reasonably to be known as unwelcome

*As per the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Occupational Health
and Safety Act
